Penn State’s THON 2024 will take place from Friday, Feb. 16, to Sunday, Feb. 18, at the Bryce Jordan Center, the student-run organization announced Wednesday.
The 46-hour dance marathon marks the culmination of year-round fundraising efforts by students to support pediatric cancer patients and their families through the Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. THON 2024’s fiscal year will begin July 1, which marks the start of the event’s fundraising efforts.
THON 2023 broke its yearly fundraising total for a second consecutive year with $15,006,132.46 raised For The Kids. Since its start in 1973, THON raised more than $200 million to fight pediatric cancer.
In March, senior Will Vincent was named THON 2024’s executive director, succeeding Lily Pevoto in the role. Vincent announced his executive committee for THON 2024 following his appointment to executive director.
