Dancer Relations captains graced the Bryce Jordan Center stage around 6:10 p.m. on Friday and performed the first line dance of THON 2025.
An annual tradition, the choreographed dance is accompanied by a mashup of popular songs with customized lyrics about Penn State, national and international news and events from the previous year, as well as THON and its mission to conquer pediatric cancer through the Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.
This year’s line dance includes references to Penn State women’s volleyball’s national championship, the solar eclipse, the “Costco guys,” the addition of supply logistics committee members to THON and much more.
The line dance will be performed by dancers and supporters many times throughout the 46-hour event, which began at 6 p.m. Friday and concludes at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Watch the full line dance, with lyrics, below or here, recorded by Onward State’s Gabe Fluehr and edited by Hailey Stutzman.
