County looks for public feedback on transportation plans

CENTRE CO. — The Centre County Metropolitan Planning Organization is looking for feedback from the community during its public meeting on Tuesday, May 14. The meeting is about the Centre County Transportation Improvement Program draft for 2025-28 and the Air Quality Conformity Determination Report and will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Centre Region Council of Governments Building forum room. Participants can also attend via Zoom.

The Centre County Transportation Improvement Program 2025-28 draft outlines how funding from federal, state and local governments will be used for transit projects over the next four years. The draft is prepared jointly by the CCMPO, the Centre County Planning and Community Development Office, the Centre Area Transportation Authority, the Centre County Office of Transportation  Services and PennDOT.

In addition to the meeting on Tuesday, May 14, there will be a 30-day public comment period, which began on Monday, April 29, and will conclude at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29. Community members may provide comments by attending the public meeting, calling or emailing the CCMPO or filling out the form on its website.

The CCMPO is looking to adopt the 2025-28 TIP and the Air Quality Conformity Determination Report by Tuesday, June 25.
