Election 2021: Centre Region Townships

Voters will be casting ballots for local government leadership in the 2021 municipal election, including for boards and councils in the Centre Region.

Among the Centre Region’s five townships, the following are up for election:

• College Township — two council members

• Ferguson Township — two at-large supervisors; one Ward 2 supervisor for an interim two-year term

• Halfmoon Township — one supervisor

• Harris Township — two supervisors

• Patton Township — one supervisor for a full six-year term; one supervisor for an interim four-year term; one supervisor for an interim two-year term

Each of the Patton Township positions are uncontested.

StateCollege.com’s Geoff Rushton and WPSU’s Anne Danahy interviewed the candidates for C-NET. Videos of each of the interviews appear below by township and in the order they are listed on the ballot.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 2. Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Residents have until 8 p.m. on Tuesday to return mail ballots to the Centre County Elections Office, 420 Holmes Street, Bellefonte, or one of eight secure drop-box locations.
