Prabaṅdha Gāna is a genre of Indian classical music that was prevalent in medieval India. Though the 13th century treatise, Saṅgītaratnākara elaborates upon the structure, an exact structure of the compositional form remains elusive. This current recital composed by Pt Arijit Mahalanabis will present a Prabaṅdha Gāna in its entirety, reconstructed using literary evidence. The choir and instrumental section are largely comprised of the Penn State student body with assistance from the broader SIMA community.
