Harris Township Office to Reopen; Ferguson Township Municipal Building Resuming Normal Hours

Starting Monday, Ferguson Township Municipal Building will be open for regular business hours while Harris Township will reopen its office after being closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ferguson Township Municipal Building, 3147 Research Drive will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays, according to a news release from the township.

After reopening to the public in January for the first time since Thanksgiving, the building’s hours had been 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Masks or face coverings will be required to enter the building and social distancing will be enforced. Public meetings will continue to be held in a virtual format or by phone until further notice.

The Harris Township office at 224 E. Main St. in Boalsburg, which had been closed since December, will reopen and notary services will resume on Monday, according to an update from the township on Friday.

All visitors are required to wear a mask to enter the building, which will be open 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission meetings will continue to be held virtually. Residents can obtain log in information to participate or watch by emailing the township manager at [email protected]. Public comment can also be submitted via email to the manager ahead of every meeting.
