It’s safe to say that this has been a big weekend for Penn State football tight end Pat Freiermuth.

No. 6 Penn State football (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten) made easy work of Michigan State (4-4, 2-3 Big Ten), 28-7, on a rainy Saturday afternoon in East Lansing.

It wasn’t always pretty, but No. 7 Penn State football (7-0, 4-0 Big Ten) survived No. 16 Michigan (5-2, 3-2 Big Ten) with 28-21 victory in Saturday night’s White Out game at Beaver Stadium on Saturday night.

Penn State football rose three spots to No. 7 in this week’s AP Top 25 poll.

Penn State’s offense hardly had a dominant performance, but timely scores and a big time defensive effort combined to give the Nittany Lions their sixth win of the season.

Penn State football will now open its 2020 season against Kent State instead of Nevada.
