Alice P. Bloom, 81, of Bellefonte passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Alice was born in Bellefonte on April 17, 1940, the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Brown Shuey. On July 14, 2001 she married Harold J. Bloom who survives at home. Alice is also survived by her son, Jeffrey L (Lyn) Bloom of Aransas Pass, TX; her daughters, Charlotte (Todd) Emel of State College, Annabell Witherite and her significant other, Ed Bathurst of Marsh Creek and her 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Louise Bloom, her son, Steven Lee Brown and her sisters, Emma Conklin, Ellen Davidson and Mary Young.
Alice was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed doing her housework, baking and talking to her family daily on the phone.
Family and friends will be received at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring Street, Milesburg on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 PM with Pastor William Esborn offficiating. Burial will be in Centre Co. Memorial Park, College Twp., Centre Co., Pa.
