Anita Faye Frye Newman of State College, PA, left this life on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Anita was born in Port Matilda, PA, May 15, 1949, to the late Robert and Mabel Funk Frye.
Anita graduated from Bald Eagle Area High School in 1967, and was employed at
Penn State University for 40 years.
She is survived by her brother, Max Frye of Kure Beach, NC., her companion of 28 years, Michael Glasgow, of Aaronsburg, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers James and Arthur.
Anita enjoyed traveling and taking bus trips with her friends. She loved to go shopping and grab a chocolate milkshake from The Meadows! She also enjoyed visiting with friends and their pets!
Per Anita’s wishes, there will not be any formal funeral services. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
