Christopher “Chris” Lucas, age 76, of Vanleer, TN, passed away on February 26, 2026. Chris was a strong man and a devoted family man who believed in hard work and personal responsibility. Throughout his life he owned and operated several businesses, including gas stations, restaurants, and other ventures. He especially enjoyed buying and selling land and took pride in building and managing his businesses over the years.
He was also a pilot for many years and greatly enjoyed flying. Chris had a deep knowledge of the Bible and a sincere love for the Lord, which guided the way he lived his life. He had a strong appreciation for veterans and was always supportive of those who served their country.
At home, Chris found peace in simple routines. He particularly loved mowing his yard, which was his quiet time to think and reflect.
Chris will be remembered for his strength, his faith, and his dedication to his family. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Chris is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marcia A. Lucas at home, children: Christopher Lucas (Brekke) of Soldotna, AK and Alicia Larkins-Hargrove (Michael) of Dickson, TN; grandchildren: Christian, Cheyenne, Chrysta, Lucas, and Carina; step grandchildren: Carina, Cody, Brianna, and Destiny; one great grandchild, Eli; one sister, Joyce Klinefelter of Beech Creek, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Doyle Lucas and Willie Mae Stokes Hollard, Chris was preceded in death by his siblings, Sonny Lucas, Marvin Lucas, and Sharon Lucas.
Visitation: will begin on Monday, March 02, 2026, from 3 – 8 PM, at Spann Funeral Home in Dickson, TN, and the visitation will continue on Thursday, March 05, 2026, from 10:00 AM –1:00PM at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Milesburg, PA. The funeral will follow at the funeral home with Pastor Alan Eckenroad officiating. Burial will be at Schenck’s Cemetery in Howard Twp, PA The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Dickson County, 311 Tennsco Rd, Dickson, TN 37055.
