Daniel R. Luchs, 79, of Julian, passed away on February 6, 2026, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
He was born on December 9, 1946, in Ridgway, PA, to the late Daniel Luchs Sr. and Dotothy (Diehl) Gardner. Daniel married Sue Ann (Myers) Luchs on October 16, 1971, in Eisenhower Chapel, together they’ve shared 55 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 4 sons, Daniel Luchs (Jill), Rueben Luchs (Heidi), Christopher Luchs (Kae) and Zachary Luchs (Susan) and five grandchildren, Brianna Luchs, Kaitlyn Walk, Hannah Luchs, Joshua Luchs, and Belinda Luchs, and two great grandchidren, Hazlyn and Oaklin.
Daniel loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and playing golf. He was devoted to providing for his family and was proud of the life he built for them. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him.
A public viewing will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 10am until 12pm, at Bald Eagle Baptist Church, 6644 S. Eagle Valley Road, Julian. Funeral services will be begin at Noon, at the church with Michael Wolford officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Williams Cemetery, Julian.
