George W. Weller, Jr., 85, of Pleasant Gap passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. George was born on December 10, 1936, in Julian a son of the late George W. and Elva P. Fahr Weller, Sr. On August 24, 1957 in Julian, he married the former Frances V. Trump Weller who survives at home. Also surviving is his daughter, Sharon K. (Sam) Ergler of Port Matilda and his son, George W. (Stacy McCurdy) Weller, III of Raleigh, NC; one grandson Joseph W. (Tiffany Kellner) Ergler of Bellefonte; his sisters Charlene Robinson of Runville, Fonda (Joseph) Trimarchi of Lancaster and his two step-brothers, DeLaun Richards of Julian and Max (Terri) Richards of Port Matilda. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ethel Fahr Weller, and Paul Robinson. His brother-in-law.
George was a 1956 graduate of Port Matilda High School.
George was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had been employed at Herbert R. Imbt. He was co-owner of C & W Construction Co., Milesburg Boat & Trailer Sales, and was the owner of George Weller Construction.
George was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, State College Masonic Lodge #700 F&AM, Centre Forest #129 Tall Cedars, a 54-year member of The Scottish RiteValley of Williamsport, A.A.S.R., the Jaffa Shrine, and also a member of the Pine Run Hunt Club. George enjoyed telling stories, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He also was an avid sports enthusiast.

Immediate family will be received at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 beginning at 11 a.m. until time of service. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 P.M. at Centre County Memorial Park, College Twp., Centre Co. Where military honors will be accorded.
