Glenn Ellis Leiter, 71, of Bellefonte, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at The Gatehouse in Williamsport. Born on September 16, 1952, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late John Glenn and Betty Louise (Davis) Leiter. On June 30, 1979, he married his beloved wife, Vickie (Lose) Leiter, who survives at home after sharing over 44 years of marriage together.
Glenn was a 1970 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He worked at Cerro Copper and Brass.
In addition to his wife, Vickie, he is survived by their three sons, Jason E. Leiter (Heather) of Bellefonte, Joseph E. Leiter of Sandy Ridge, and Andrew R. Leiter of Bellefonte, and seven grandchildren: Jeremy, Justine, Adelle, Jacob, Aden, Ethen, and Emery. Also surviving are his brothers, John A. Leiter (Rhonda), and Joseph A. Leiter, both of Bellefonte.
Glenn was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Lewistown. He loved baseball, playing from the time that he was in kindergarten until he played in the adult softball leagues. He was an avid fan of Penn State Football and the New York Yankees.
Funeral and burial services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
