Hope P. Shaffer, 50, of Yarnell passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. She was born in Bellefonte on March 18, 1971 the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Bonnie Weber Struble.
She was a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School Class of 1989. On October 14, 1995 she was united in marriage to Mike Shaffer who survives at their home. Hope retired as a staff assistant at Penn State in 2016. She was a very active member of the Yarnell U.M.C. where she enjoyed being in the church quilting group as well as other activities. Hope also enjoyed raising her goats, but more than anything she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson.
She is also survived by her son, Cody ( Rebeccah ) Shaffer of Yarnell and a grandson, Hunter T. Shaffer.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at the Yarnell United Methodist Church 808 Yarnell Road, Bellefonte on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 6:30 pm with Pastor Jeanette Desmond officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Miracle Network, 205 West 700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101.
