After 93 radiant years marked by grace, resilience, and generosity, Jacqueline Fahr Douty of
Bellefonte has taken her place among the stars—her light still guiding those she loved.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cathy Brachbill, and sons-in-law Randy Brachbill and Keith B. Hamilton, all of Bellefonte, whose lives she enriched with unwavering support and affection.
Her daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Hamilton, preceded her in death. Jackie held Debbie’s memory
close to her heart, a sacred presence in her daily prayers, their mother-daughter bond unbroken by time or distance.
Jackie was also preceded in death by her two beloved husbands, Fred Douty and James Jordan,
whose love and partnership shaped her journey and filled her life with strength and companionship.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Keith J. Hamilton (Shelby) of Hublersburg, Craig
Hamilton (Lindsay) of Bellefonte, and Lindsay Schreffler (Doug) of Conway, South Carolina. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren—Keith F. and Sydney Hamilton of Hublersburg, and Levi and Lyla Hamilton of Bellefonte—who will continue to hear stories of her love, spirit, and wisdom.
Jackie’s bond with her sisters—LaVoun Teaman of Lancaster, Marlene Worrick of Millbrook,
Alabama, and Malvena Hersh of State College—was a source of daily joy and strength. Their
conversations, filled with family tales, dreams, and laughter, were a living testament to the power of sisterhood.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. At St. John’s United Church of Christ, Jackie found purpose and community—planning events, teaching Sunday School, and offering kindness to all who crossed her path. Her devotion was quiet but powerful, and her presence brought comfort and joy to many.
Jackie’s entrepreneurial spirit was matched by her unwavering determination and vision. In the
1970s, she boldly opened and operated her own printing shop and later entered the world of real estate at Corman Associates, where she earned the Century 21 Outstanding Agent award in
1990—a reflection of her integrity and dedication. For over four decades, she served as a Shaklee Independent Distributor, rising to the rank of supervisor in 1986. Jackie didn’t just sell products—she educated, empowered, and inspired others to live healthier, more vibrant lives.
Jackie considered her greatest achievement to be raising two devoted daughters and nurturing,
celebrating, and uplifting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was her heart’s true home. Heaven has welcomed a new angel. And here on Earth, we remain—grateful for the time we shared and forever shaped by the love she gave so freely.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., Bellefonte.
