Margaret M. Padisak, 95, of Snow Shoe, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Mountain Laurel Nursing Home in Clearfield. Born March 28, 1930, in Clarence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Yecina) Padisak.
Margaret was a 1949 graduate of Snow Shoe High School. She began her working years at Halls Hosiery Mill in Clarence, where she was employed for ten years. She later went to work for Murata Erie in State College, retiring in 1992 after 28 years of dedicated service.
A lifelong and devoted member of Queen of Archangels Parish Church in Clarence, Margaret attended Mass faithfully and remained active in parish life until her health no longer allowed her to participate as she once had. She enjoyed playing music and spending time socializing with friends. An excellent cook and baker, she was especially known for preparing traditional Slovak foods. Above all, Margaret cherished time with her family.
She is survived by her brother, Joseph Padisak of Clarence. Though she had no children of her own, her many nieces and nephews were like grandchildren to her, and she took great joy in loving and caring for each of them.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by five brothers, Andy, Pete, George, Steve, and Mike Padisak; and four half-brothers, John, Joseph, Frank, and Bill Verbitsky.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Queen of Archangels Parish Church in Clarence, with Father Matthew Laffey officiating. Burial will be private at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Clarence.
Margaret’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Mountain Laurel Nursing Home for the compassionate and loving care she received during her time there.
