Marjorie V. Houdeshell, 94, of Marsh Creek, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Lock Haven Hospital. Born on September 13, 1926, in Marsh Creek, she was the daughter of the late Blair and Pearl (Weaver) Young, Sr. She was married to Gilbert Houdeshell, who passed away on June 11, 1978.

Marjorie attended the Liberty School. She went to work at Sylvania at the age of 16 to help the family and then worked in the Housekeeping Department at Centre Crest, retiring after 30 years of service.

Marjorie was a faithful and devoted member of the Romola Bible Church in March Creek. She loved the Lord and had strong Christian Faith. She was active in all church missionary activities throughout the years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Marjorie is survived by her children: David G. Houdeshell of Marsh Creek, Linda L. Bywater of Prescott Valley, AZ, and Vickie M. Lansberry and her husband, William, of Henrietta NY, by one brother, Ernest Young and his wife, Shirley, of Runville, and one sister, Joanne Peace and her husband, Robert, of Howard,

She is also survived by two grandchildren: Scott Bywater and his wife, Mary, and Jamie Rawleigh and her husband, Matthew, and five great-grandchildren: Stacey, Amber, Dymon, Kaiya, and Gavin.

Along with her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by one brother, Blair Young, Jr and one sister, Phyllis Lucas.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 10-11am at the Romola Bible Church in Marsh Creek followed by the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Robert Maurer and Pastor William Livermore officiating. Burial will be at the Romola Cemetery.
