Surrounded by her loving family, Mary Lois H. Miller, 90, of Wingate, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2026. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who served the Lord faithfully.

She was born to the late Jacob C., Sr. and M. Ruth (Fisher) Herline on November 10, 1935, in Manns Choice, PA. She was one of eleven brothers and sisters. On October 4, 1956, she married Leo E. Miller. He proceeded her in death on January 5, 2015.

Mary Lois worked as a secretary for a local laundry service until her first child was born, and then became a homemaker. In 1965, she and Leo relocated to the Milesburg area. Because of her dedication and deep love for serving the Lord and others, she was very active in her church and community. She spent her time volunteering in the church as a church treasurer, Sunday School teacher, Children’s Church teacher, pianist and organist. In the community, she volunteered at Mount Nittany Medical Center and Centre Care.

Mary Lois had many hobbies and passions that she loved, including music, singing, crocheting, word puzzles, carpentry, sewing, and anything else that involved creativity. Her love of music led her to play the piano, organ, accordion, mandolin, and banjo, to name a few. Whatever she set out to do, she prayed for God’s help and always gave Him the credit for her accomplishments. Her relationship with God was first and foremost, and her love for God and her family was evident to all. Her strength and tenacity for life and living for God became the greatest legacy she passed to her family. She lived her life daily as a Godly example for them to follow.
