Melinda S. “Mindy” Tierney, 65, of Milesburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 19, 2025. She was born on April 9, 1960, in Bellefonte, and was the daughter of Richard Brown and the late Janet (Stover) Brown.
On April 28, 1979, in Bellefonte, Mindy married the love of her life, Thomas R. Tierney, who survives at home. Together, they shared many years of love and companionship.
Mindy was a 1978 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. She spent much of her career in management roles within the food service industry, including positions at the Bush House Hotel and Gunzey’s Hot Sausages.
In her free time, Mindy especially enjoyed camping at the Centre County Grange Fair. She and Tom also took their camper to various local campsites for short getaways. Mindy was very crafty and loved making kitchen tea towels and crocheting a variety of items.
In addition to her husband, Tom, Mindy is survived by her son, Troy Tierney, and his wife, Sarah; and her brother, Leon Brown, and his wife, Karen.
All services will be private.
