Nancy M. Martz

Nancy M. Martz, 81, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on July 9, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Talma (Weber) Bowersox; and raised by her aunt and uncle, the late Russel and Lula Vonada. 

Nancy was a graduate of Bellefonte High School. She worked at Penn State for Executive Programs Department for over 25 years, until her retirement. 

She is survived by her five children, Donald Martz, Jr. of Centre Hall, Randy Martz (Sandy) of Bellefonte, Elizabeth McCloskey (Will) of Pleasant Gap, Jodi Martz of Waldorf, Maryland, and Melissa Martz of Pleasant Gap; two grandchildren, Jessica and Amanda, and two great grandchildren, Aleah, and Davey. Also surviving are three siblings, Robert, James, and Betty. 

In addition to her parents, and the Vonada’s, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Christine Martz, and four siblings, Freda, Connie, William, and Marion. 

Nancy enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading. 

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
