Nathan S. Harter, 50, of Lancaster, passed away too soon from this life on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born on January 23, 1976, in State College, he was the son of the late Cheri L. Harter.
Nathan graduated from Penns Valley High School in 1994. Nathan attended Penn State University and South Hills Business School. For the past few years, he worked for East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc. in Lancaster.

He was a meticulous man that kept a meticulous home and car. His smile could light up a room and his love for his pets was evident in all that he did. Nathan was a big Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State Nittany Lion fan.
Nathan is survived by his aunts and uncles, Corey Harter and his wife, Cindy, of Pleasant Gap, Carol Cramer of Bellefonte, Craig Harter and his wife, Patty, of Centre Hall, and Charles Harter of Snow Shoe; numerous cousins; friends; and his beloved dog Diva.
Along with his mother, Nathan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Glenn and Jean (Lingle) Harter.
The family would like to express gratitude for those that have been there and assisting in such a difficult time, especially Michael Cohen (Michelle) of Dingman’s Ferry and Nathan’s neighbors Jason & Stacie, who so graciously have agreed to love and care for Nathan’s dog.
