Alberta 'Bertie' H. Wagner, 87, of Centre Hall, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Oaks in Pleasant Gap.

She was born August 16, 1923 in Potters Mills, a daughter of the late Jacob Harrison and Emma Sarah Schmidt (Smith) Faust.

On December 20, 1941, she married Wallace 'Wally' Wagner who preceded her in death on April 25, 1999.

After completing her education, Alberta worked in the housing division at the Pennsylvania State University, Gettig Engineering in Spring Mills, Fisher Electronics in Milroy, and retired from Jostens Publishing in State College.

She was a long time member of Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall. Earlier in life she enjoyed gardening. She was a gifted and skilled seamstress, and enjoyed making all kinds of decorative craft items.

Surviving Mrs. Wagner are one son, Warren 'Butch' L. Wagner and his wife Deborah Mier Wagner of Fredericksburg, VA; two grandsons Nicholas Ryan Wagner serving with the Fredericksburg Police Department and Neal Ross Wagner a full time college student; two sisters Geraldine Faust of Baltimore, MD, Relda Nale of Siglerville; one brother, Jonas Faust of Welsh, LA and a former son in law Robert 'Bob' Fohringer.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Fohringer, a granddaughter, Stephanie Nichole Wagner; and six siblings, Rachel Holt, Lewis Faust, Madelline Gearhart, Anna Houtz, Janet Reich, and Mary Long.

Friends will be received from 1:00 p. m. to 2:00 p. m. Sunday, October 3, 2010, in the Senior Community Room, at the Oaks, 200 Rachel Dr., Pleasant Gap, PA. A memorial service will follow immediately at 2:00 p. m. with the Reverend Doctor Barry Folmar officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, West Church St., Centre Hall, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alberta's memory may be made to Schreffler Manor at the Oaks, 200 Rachel Dr., Pleasant Gap, PA 16823.
