Andrew David Reese, 43, of Cranberry Twp., formerly of Bellefonte, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh.

Born on January 2, 1969 in Washington, D.C., he is a son of Richard L. Sr. and Mamie (Berg) Reese, who reside in Bellefonte.

Andy was a 1987 graduate and multi-sport athlete of Bellefonte Area High School. He continued his education and football career at Fairmont University and then at Lock Haven University.

Andy started his professional career in his teens at Toftrees Resort and Golf Course in State College, PA. After college, he continued on at Toftrees in Property Management and then as Food and Beverage Director. Andy most recently was employed with Frank B. Fuhrer Wholesale Co. in Pittsburgh, as an Outside Sales Representative.

An avid golfer, Andy enjoyed competitive rounds with friends and playing in charity golf outings. He also enjoyed attending Steeler, Penguin, and Pirate games. Andy was known for his kind heart and outgoing personality.

In addition to his parents, Andy is survived by his one sister, Katie Bates (Doug) of Howard; two brothers, Richard Lee Reese, Jr. (Pamela) of Pleasant Gap, and Chris A. Reese (Heather) of State College; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Adam, Abby, Ben, Emeline, and Lilah Grace Reese, and Kara, Bayli, and Hunter Bates, and many friends.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral services on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 PM on Sunday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Andrew Morgan officiating. Interment will take place at a later time at Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
