Arlene Rider, 92, of Bellefonte, passed away January 1, 2015, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born in Bellefonte, on August 11, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Hazel (Miller) Eminhizer. She was married to Gilbert Rider, who preceded her in death on January 20, 1997.
Arlene was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School, Class of 1941, and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Valley View United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters; Bonnie Harter (Ralph) of Bellefonte, Debbie Hamilton (Steven) of State College; one son, Terry Rider (Sue) of Bellefonte; one brother, Richard Eminhizer of Bellefonte, along with 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Gerald.
A public visitation will be held Sunday evening, January 4, 2015, from 6-8 PM, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc, 206 N. Spring St, Bellefonte, PA. The funeral service will be Monday, January 5, 2015, at the funeral home, at 11 AM, with Rev. Samuel Reese officiating. Burial will follow in Meyer Cemetery, Benner Township.
