Obituary of Betty R. Bloom , 93

Betty R. Bloom, 93, of Plum, formerly of State College died Friday, September 28, 2012 at Forbes Regional Medical Center in Monroeville.

Born April 13, 1919 in Curryville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hiram C. and Mary (Rhodes) Replogle.

On March 1, 1947, she married Robert G. Bloom who preceded her in death on May 12, 2002.

She was 1937 graduate of Cove High School in Morrisons Cove. She was a former member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Boalsburg, and was employed at A. R. L. in State College for 10 years.

Betty is survived by one daughter, Colleen D. (George) Prokopik of Pittsburgh; one sister, Louise Kenyon of Monroeville; three grandchildren, George (Ashley), Charles and Samuel Prokopik all of Pittsburgh.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by five brothers, Carmon, Jesse, Milton, Clark and John Replogle and five sisters, Marie Miller, Freda Burket, Martha Teeter, Mary Grace Replogle and Irene Replogle.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Monday, October 1, 2012 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A funeral service will held 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Centre County Memorial Park.
