Clarence E. Lyons, 75, of Bellefonte, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 at Centre Crest. He was born in Bellefonte on July 19, 1937 the son of the late Samuel and Lila Schaeffer Lyons. He was of the Protestant Faith. Clarence had done farming for 19 years and for 26 years he worked at Centre Crest in the Maintenance Department. He was a life member of the Undine Fire Company #2, a member of the Port Matilda Sportsman Club, the Central District Volunteer Fireman's Association, the Lock Haven Eagles, the Loyal Order of Moose #206 of Bellefonte, the Bellefonte V.F.W., and the Bellefonte American Legion Post #33. He is survived by three sisters, Ruth Simco, of State College, Helen Griffith of Yarnell and Kathy Butler of rural Bellefonte, and one brother, Charles Lyons of Lewistown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Lyons, and a brother, Norman Lyons. Services will be held at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, on Monday, January 28, 2013 with Rev. Alex R. Dyakiw officiating. Friends will be received Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Eagle Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre County.
