Dennis D. “Denny” Herman, 63, of Centre Hall, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at his home. Born on February 10, 1954, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Dale and M. Fayette Reigle Herman. On January 29, 1983, at the Jacksonville Emmanuel Church of Christ, he married Sharon K. Confer who survives at home.
Denny was a 1973 graduate of State College High School. He was of the protestant faith. He owned and operated the Bee Line Alignment Center on the Benner Pike, retiring in 2000 after 23 years of service. After retirement, he, along with his wife, owned and operated Denny Herman’s Lawn Care. He continued working until his health would no longer permit.
Denny enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and just being in the outdoors. He loved his lawn care business and all the people he met through his business. He was a member of the Spring Mills Fish & Game Association and the Boalsburg Fire Company for many years.
Denny is survived by his wife; two sisters, Janet Herman and Shawnee Kiser, four brother in-laws; Gary L. Confer and his wife, Jacqueline, of Bellefonte, Terry R. Confer of Milesburg, Timothy W. Confer and his wife, Vicky, of Pleasant Gap and Thomas G. Confer and his wife, Sandy, of Howard, and by his mother in-law, Margaret Confer of Bellefonte.
Also surviving are; a niece, Kenna Kurtz and her husband, Shawn; nephew, Shane Billett and his wife, Vanessa; three God Children; Steven Owens, Mark Owens, and Sarah Todd, and their mother, Sue Owens.
Along with his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his father in-law, Jerry Confer.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 6-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Centre Hall. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11am with Pastor Cindy Killinger officiating. Burial will be private.
