Doris Jean Walker, 81 of Hublersburg, passed away Friday, November 25, 2011 at her home. She was born on November 9, 1930, in Huntingdon County, a daughter of the late Harold and Edith Feltenberger Walker. On December 26, 1953, in Huntingdon, she married Ralph Walker, who receded her in death on December 18, 2004.
She was a homemaker. She is survived by a daughter, Susan L. Thomas of Hublersburg; two sons, Jeffrey A. Walker, of Missouri, and Daniel H. Walker of Howard; three grandchildren, Daria R. Rockey, Dane M. Cramer and Shane M. Walker; and two great-grandchildren, Aja Walker and Mitchell Allen Rockey.
Funeral services will be private and at the family's convenience. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, in Jean's honor, the family requests that individuals make a donation to an Alzheimer's disease organization or donate their time to families that are facing the daily hardships and challenges of having a loved one stricken with Alzheimer.
