Earl M. Tate, Jr. (Sonny) of Apache Junction, AZ; formerly of Centre County, PA passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sept. 11, 2013.
Earl was born July 23, 1949, in Bellefonte, the son of the late Earl M. Tate Sr. and Pauline Horner Tate.
During the Viet Nam War Mr. Tate served two terms in the U. S. Navy.
Surviving Earl are two loving sisters Carol Lee Tice (Frank) of Centre Hall and Bonnie Lou Tate of Bellefonte. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and his wonderful, loving caregiver, Jennifer Smith of Apache Junction, AZ
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Eminhizer and a nephew Randy Reed.
Sonny will always be remembered for his great love of Blue Grass Music and the wonderful gift of his singing voice.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
