Emma Lou Andrews, 90, formerly of Mount Eagle, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at the Susque-View Home in Lock Haven. Born on May 7, 1925, in Beech Creek, she was the daughter of the late Clair Berry and Mable De-Haas Berry. She married Wilmer S. Andrews, Sr. on July 18, 1945, who preceded her in death in 2007.
She attended the Lock Haven School System.
Emma Lou retired from Murata Erie and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Howard Christian Church.
Emma Lou was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and church. She also enjoyed the outdoors and hunting with her husband and children.
She is survived by six children; Ruth Crane of Milesburg, John Bechdel and his wife Donna of Port Matilda, Sandra Carlson and her husband Leroy of Runville, Susan Andrews Hale of Bellefonte, Robin Shellhamer and her husband Scott of Chester Spring, and Wilmer “Little Andy” Andrews and his wife Ronda of Curtin, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband she is preceded in death her first husband. John F. Bechdel, four sisters and four brothers.
There will be a public visitation held Tuesday, December 29, 2015, from 9am until 11am, the time of the service, at the Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 North Spring Street, Bellefonte, PA.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 11am, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Chuck Salmon officiating.
Burial will follow at Hays-Fearon Cemetery in Beech Creek.
