Obituary of Fred Wilson, 90

Fred K. Wilson, 90, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on September 7, 1927, in State College, PA, he was the son of the late George L. and Cora (Stahl) Wilson. He married Sara (Weaders) Wilson who survives at her home in Centre Hall.

Fred worked for State College Borough for 17 years until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by nine children: Dave (June) Wilson of Bellefonte, Fred K. Jr. of Maine, George Wilson of Pleasant Gap, Joe Wilson (Danielle) of Woolrich, Faye Schindler (Randy) of Olanta, Diane Wilson of Pine Glenn, Steve Wilson of Centre Hall, John Wilson (Jennifer) of Orviston, and Cora (Charles) Hazel of Michigan. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, great great grandchild and his dog, Joey. Fred was the last of his generation.

He enjoyed playing guitar and riding his bike. Fred was of the Christian faith.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., o Bellefonte.
