George Fetterolf Jr., 78, of Centre Hall, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township.
Born on October 11, 1933 in Potter Twp., Centre Co., he is a son of the late George Sr. and Frances (McClellan) Fetterolf.
George was a 1952 graduate of Centre Hall-Potter Twp. High School and had completed a barber course.
On March 6, 1953, he married Adreadawn (White) Fetterolf, who survives at home.
Mr. Fetterolf worked as a barber since 1955, owning and operating Fetterolf’s Barber Shop in State College until his retirement. He also owned a Barber Shop in Rebersburg for many years.
He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Centre Hall.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael D. Fetterolf and his wife Virginia of Mechanicsburg and Todd K. Fetterolf and his wife Annette of rural Bellefonte; three grandchildren, Angela, Christina and Linzy Fetterolf; four sisters, Miriam Glossner of Harrisburg; Jean McClanahan of Aurora, CO, Phyllis Boob of Spring Mills; and Linda Murphy of Centre Hall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn, Paul and Dean Fetterolf
Friends will be received from 6 – 8 p. m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service P. C. 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a. m. Friday, September 14, 2012 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, with the Reverend Scott Klimke officiating. Burial will follow in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, Church St. Centre Hall.
