Grant W. Boozer, 58, of Centre Hall, ended his courageous battle with cancer and joined his Lord in Heaven on Saturday, November 28, surrounded by his loving wife, daughter and son. Grant was born in Bellefonte, PA to C. William Boozer and Lois (Ross) Boozer Krape. He married his best friend, Jane (Bair) Boozer, 36 years ago on September 29, 1973 in Castanea, PA.

Grant was a 1969 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Penn State University in 1973. He was a dedicated employee of Trinity Packaging, Inc. in Lewistown, PA since 1998. It was his strong work ethic and support of family, friends, coworkers and medical professionals who provided strength and encouragement during his final days.

Serving God and his community was very important to him. He was a devoted lifetime member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Centre Hall, PA where he served multiple terms on consistory and was financial secretary for the church for the past 19 years. He served on Centre Hall Borough Council, the school board for the Penns Valley School District, and as an auditor for the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery Association of Centre Hall. He was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed hunting and watching Penn State football and basketball as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition to his adoring wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Chad and Jennifer Boozer, and grandchildren Ryan and Alexis of Schwenksville, PA; daughter Lori Boozer of Centre Hall; mother Lois Krape of Pleasant Gap; father and mother-in-law Robert and Ruby Bair of Centre Hall; siblings Robert Boozer (Nancy), Dianne LePore (Tim), Suzanne Fisher (Donnie), Linda Sywulak (Mike), Marge Pellegrino and Randy Krape; brothers and sisters-in-law: James Bair (Susan) and Joan Ross (Tracy); and eight nieces and nephews Ross and Ann Boozer; Jim, Jennifer and Matthew Bair; Julie LePore and Christopher and Hannah Sywulak.

He was preceded in death by his father C. William Boozer, stepfather Homer Krape and daughter Michelle Renee.

Family and friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall. Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ, 104 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 3 with burial following at the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery Association in Centre Hall. Pastor Julian E. Hall will officiate.
