Obituary of Gretchen M. Klinger , 60

Gretchen M. Klinger, 60, of Pennsylvania Furnace, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

She was born on September 18, 1949 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Bell) Zahn.

On July 18, 1968 in State College, she was married to Allen P. Klinger, who survives at home.

She was employed as an office secretary at Dr. Antonio Montalbo's office on Easterly Parkway in State College, and also at the former O.W. Houtz in State College.

She was a proud homemaker who especially loved animals, and could make anything from clothes to crafts.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Stacey Schmid and her husband Mark of Natrona, Wyoming; two sisters, Sally Rassmussen of North Wales, PA and Johanna Hamilton of Klamath Falls, OR; her mother in law, Dorothy Klinger of Boalsburg; and her faithful companion, Katie/Kiwi

She was preceded in death by her son, Allen Douglas Klinger on February 26, 2005.

A Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of the Memorial Services on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall.

Memorial Services will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday from the funeral home with the Reverend Renee Ford officiating.

Inurnment will follow at Boalsburg Cemetery in Boalsburg.
