Obituary of Helen K. Taylor , 100

Helen K. Taylor, 100, of State College, died Monday, November 21, 2011 at The Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, State College.

Born October 26, 1911 in Boalsburg, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Ida May Keller Koch. She married George Vance Taylor on June 13, 1936 who preceded her in death on August 17, 1980.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Lois Andrews, of Milford, DE, Thomas Kessinger, of Pinehurst, NC, John Kessinger, of Summerville, SC, Joseph Kessinger, of Young Harris, GA, Etta Jean Hoover, of Highland, MI, JoAnn West, of State College, George Harpster, of Pine Grove Mills, Rita Kidwell, of State College and Sue Horner, of Petersburg.

Helen attended the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Grove Mills.

Helen was a resident of Brookline for seven years before moving to the Hearthside in October of this year following her 100th birthday. Her long time companion and caregiver was Sharon Anderson, of Port Matilda, for which the family is grateful.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pine Grove Mills with the Rev. Kelley Baxter officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Mills Cemetery.
