Janell F. Becker, 52, of State College, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, in Lecanto, Fla. Born May 7, 1957 in Sunbury, she was the daughter of Willard R. and Joan Faye (Shaffer) Fasold, of Sunbury.
On Nov. 22, 1981, she married David M. Becker, who survives her. Along with her husband and parents, she is survived by a daughter Alexa C. Becker, a freshman at Penn State, and a son, Conor N. Becker, a freshman at State College Area High School; a brother Craig Fasold and his wife, Heidi, of Sunbury; a nephew Matthew Fasold and his wife, Angela, of Danville; and a niece, Lindy Fasold, of Northumberland.
She was a 1975 graduate of Shikellamy High School. She received her associated degree from Penn State University and attended the Dog Grooming School of N.Y. and was a self employed dog groomer for several years. In 2008, Janell became a realtor and was employed by Lighthouse Realty in State College.
Janell was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was a caring and giving person and someone you could turn to in a crisis. She loved animals and cared for them and their well-being. Her hobbies were interior decorating and jewelry design. Her bright smile and warm, caring spirit will be greatly missed. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Sunbury and a member of Centre Hills Country Club.
