Jonathan "Jon" F. Warner, 68 of Beech Creek, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at his home. He was born in Burlington, Vt. on November 12, 1944. A son of the late C. Gilmore & Dorothea Schaffner Warner.
He was preceded in death by his first wife; Nancy Rogers Warner. He then married Velma McVicker who survives at home.
Jon was a supervisor and electrical inspector at Penn State retiring in January 2005 after 34 years of service. He was a member of Faith Chapel United Methodist Church at Hunter Run. Jon proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Howard Area Lions Club. Jon was an avid fisherman and really enjoyed his yearly fishing trips to Canada each summer.
Along with his wife he is survived by one son; Harry G. (Jen) Warner of Dansville, N.Y., two step-daughters; Cindy (Dave) Lee and Robin (Mark) Rockey, , three step-sons; Bob (Edna), Bryan (Cathy), and Chris (Laura) Packer, one brother; Jeremiah Warner of Vassar, Kansas, eleven grandchildren and four great-grand children.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
