Obituary of Joseph Crestani, 84

Joseph J. Crestani, 84, of Milesburg, died Feb. 21, 2012, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. He was born in Snow Shoe Twp. on January 9, 1928, the son of the late Guesippi and Veronica Pizzotto Crestani. Mr. Crestani was a union cement mason. He was a member of the Runville United Methodist Church. He is a veteran of the Air Force, having served during World War II. He enjoyed hunting and watching football. He especially enjoyed playing cards with the ladies at Eagle Valley Personal Care Center. He was married to the former, June Guenot, who preceded him in death on October 9, 2008. He is survived by two daughters, Gladys (Norman) Lucas of Runville and Margaret Rose (Robert) Foster of Huntingdon Co.; three sons, Joseph (Marcie) Crestani of Julian, Stephen (Kathy) Crestani of Port Matilda and Leonard (Chris) Crestani, of Pleasant Gap;10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a sister; Olga Butler; and two brothers, John and Americo Crestani. Services will be held at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg, Friday, February 24, 2012 at 4 P.M., with the Rev. Carl Hill officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 2 PM to 4 PM. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Union Twp., Centre Co. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eagle Vally Personal Care Center, P.O. Box 8969, Milesburg, Pa. 16853.
