Joy A. Christensen, 61, of Tyrone, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, in State College. She was born June 9, 1948, in Bellefonte, a daughter of the late John W. and Verna L. McCloskey Butts, Sr. She was a Protestant. She was a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, John W. Butts, Jr., of Milesburg and Anthone J. Christensen, of Tyrone; and four grandchildren.
