Kenneth “Ken” R. Miller, 81, of Rebersburg, died Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
He was born February 16, 1936 in Millheim; a son of the late Merrill and Grace Gilbert Miller.

On October 26, 1963 he married Mary Alice Bubb who survives at home.

Ken attended Bellefonte High School.

He served his country in the Army’s 101st Airborne Division.
Following his military service, Ken joined his sister, Betty, in Los Angeles, Calif. While in Los Angeles he was manager for one of the Chevrolet garages. Upon returning to Bellefonte in 1962, Ken worked for McClellan Chevrolet and Valley GMC. He opened his own automotive repair business “Ken’s Auto Repair” in 1970 at Zion and several years later moved his business to Centre Hall until his retirement in 2007.

A hard worker, prior to his retirement, he had little time to spend on hobbies and special interests; but he did enjoy attending sales, and had a deep interest in and appreciation for antiques.

His memberships included American Legion Post 779 at Old Fort and the Nittany Antique Machinery Association.

Surviving Mr. Miller in addition to his wife are two sons, Stephen A. Miller of Daphne, AL and Michael L. Miller (Georgia Port) of Centre Hall; four grandchildren, Tara Miller, Jesse Miller, Kristie Miller-Chau and Jacob Miller; five great grandchildren, Madison Miller, Cora Miller, Aden Miller, Kameron Chau and Elliot Miller; two sisters, Gladys Rotwitt (Ted) of Lansdale, and Betty Ohman, of North Richland Hills, TX; and his special cat “Millie”.

In addition to his parents Mr. Miller was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Miller and an infant brother Roger.

Friends will be received from 6 – 8 pm Thursday, December 28, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA, and from 10 – 11am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, on Friday, December 29, 2017. Funeral services will follow immediately at 11:00 am at the church, with the Reverend Marvin M. Freed officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery, Church Hill Road, Centre Hall, near Colyer. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 779, Centre Hall.
