L.M. “Dick” Fetterolf, 86, of State College, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township.

Born on December 23, 1925 in Bellefonte, he is a son of the late Burton and Kathryn (Carson) Fetterolf.

On November 20, 1948, he was married to Mary A. Lannen, who preceded him in death on April 10, 1996. His second wife, Mary E. Brooks, whom he married on September 26, 1996, preceded him death on August 26, 2009.

Dick was employed at Corning Glass Works and retired with over 23 years of service in 1986.

He was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Centre Hall.

Dick enjoyed floral, vegetable, and fruit gardening, woodworking, traveling, and enjoyed the company of people. He was kind, caring, and was truly family oriented.

He is survived by one daughter, Brenda M. Horner (James) of State College; one son, Richard G. Fetterolf (Deb) of Aaronsburg; three sisters, Lena Yarnell of Pleasant Gap, Faye Stine of Millheim, and Patricia Bird (Robert) of Bellefonte; three sisters-in-law, Frances Fetterolf of Aaronsburg, Barbara Fetterolf of Centre Hall, and Janet Fetterolf of Zion; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and spouses, he was preceded in death by an infant grandson; three sisters, Winifred Yarnell, Miriam Sampsel, and Hazel Fetterolf; and four brothers, Russell (in infancy), Gerald, Stanley, and Lynn Fetterolf.

Family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral services on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Calvary Bible Church, 600 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall (On top of the Centre Hall Mountain). Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, from the church, with the Reverend Richard Gilbaugh officiating. Interment will follow at Centre County Memorial Park.
