Lester E. Stine, 60, of State College, died Saturday, June 26, 2010, in State College.
Born Jan. 12, 1950, in Philipsburg, he was a son of Edith F. Fink Stine, of State College, and the late Walter E. Stine. Mr. Stine was a 1967 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Bald Eagle Baptist Church. Mr. Stine was a member of Milesburg American Legioon Post 893 and the Wolf Federation. He loved animals and enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking pictures of animals.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Gary A. (Loretta) Stine, of Howard; and a sister, Ella Lee (Don) Trulick, of Bellefonte. He is also survived by his nieces, Raquel Long and Tara Leee Homan; and his grandnephews, Jackson, Wyatt and Gage Long. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, W. John Stine II.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2010, at Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg. Funeral services wil lbe at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at the funeral home, with the Rev. David R. Spaugh officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery, Huston Township.
