Obituary of Lucille D. Eldridge , 92

Lucille D. Eldridge, 92, of State College, died Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Elmcroft of State College.

Born Feb. 25, 1918, in Hawk Run, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hilda Warner Dixon. On Dec. 24, 1942, she married Raymond M. Eldridge, who died March 20, 2002. She was a partner in the RM Eldridge Consulting Company from the early 1980's through 2004. She previously was employed by the State College Federal Savings & Loan, J. Alvin Hawbaker Co. and Keystone Food Services.

Lucille was a member of the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and the BPOE #1600 of State College. She is survived by two children, Victoria L. Ponish and her husband, Anthony, of State College and Ned D. Eldridge and his wife, Nancy, of Murrysville. Lucille is also survived by a sister, Jean Law and her husband, Joseph, of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren , Matthew, Jennifer, Elyse, Lindsey, Haley and Evan; and three great-grandchildren, Courtney and Tristan Ponish and Kai Hrabovsky.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2010, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, State College, with Father Richard Wall officiating. Burial will be in the Centre County Memorial Park. The family is appreciative of the love and care that she received from the staff at Elmcroft.
