M. Louise Reish, 86, of Potters Mills, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Centre Crest in Bellefonte

She was born May 5, 1928, a daughter of the late Earl and Jennie Wilson Smith.

June 13, 1946 she married Donald D. Reish Sr. who preceded her in death July 28, 1995.

Mrs. Reish attended Centre Hall-Potter High School and was employed for many years at Centre Engineering.

Louise was a member the Auxiliary of the VFW at Potters Mills, and a member of Progress Grange in Centre Hall.

Crocheting was one of her favorite pastimes.

Mrs. Reish is survived by one daughter, Lisa L. Smeltzer and her husband Randy of Pleasant Gap; three sons, William E. Reish and his wife Sally of Castanea, Robert J. Reish and his fiancée Dee Struble of Rural Bellefonte and Jeffrey L. Reish and his wife Dana of Frenchville; two sisters, Mary Ann Taylor of Prescott Arizona and Delores McGinness and her husband Jack of Zion; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A person of enormous strength, courage, and stamina, she experienced indescribably more tragedy and loss than anyone should ever have to endure in a lifetime, and yet managed to move on productively and positively. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sons, Sydney, Samuel, Craig and Donald Reish Jr.; two sisters, Betty Guerriero and Irene Klecky; and seven brothers, Lowell, John, William, Eugene, Richard, Robert and Paul Smith.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11:30 am Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall. The funeral follows at 11:30 am at the funeral home, with the Reverend Kevin Shock officiating. Burial will be in the Sprucetown Cemetery, Upper Georges Valley Road, Spring Mills, PA
