Marian E. Hardy, 96, of Bellefonte, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Centre Crest Nursing Home.
Born March 5, 1914, in Hanna, she was the daughter of the late Simeon and Mary Louise Pickle Hardy. She was also preceded in death by her husband Simeon Hardy. She was a food service worker at Penn State University. She also was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of State College.
She is survived by four children, Pamella M. Stine and her husband, Russell, of Port Matilda, Loretta I. Myers and her husband, Alan, of Port Matilda, Jesse L. Hardy and his wife, Shirley, of Julian, and Gene L. Hardy and his wife, Joyce, of Petersburg. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Hardy, of Carlisle.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at the funeral home with Rev. Chris Buttery officiating. Burial will be in the Port Matilda Presbyterian Cemetery.
