Marian H. Lauck, 70, of Pennsylvania Furnace, died Friday, June 3, 2011, at the PinnacleHealth Hospital, in Harrisburg.
Born September 22, 1940, in Pittsburgh, PA she was a daughter of the late Ralph P. and Sarah B. (McMath) Hoover.
On August 12, 1962, in Park Forest she married Carl A. Lauck, who survives at home.
Marian was a 1959 graduate of State College High School. She was a former employee of Balfurd’s, and Mid State Bank. She retired from Penn State University.
She was a member of the Park Forest Village United Methodist Church, and a life member of the American Legion Post 245 Ladies Auxiliary and the Pine Grove Mills Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5825 Ladies Auxillary. She was also a member of the BPOE Auxiliary 1600 in Bellefonte.
She enjoyed cruising, darts and reading. Her main interest was her family, and supporting all of her granddaughter’s activities.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Charlene L. (Charles) Greenland of Pennsylvania Furnace; a granddaughter, Cassandra L. Greenland; siblings,Barbara “Bobby” Maelhorn of Bellefonte; John (Carol) Hoover of Mary Esther, FL; and Mary Lou (D. Dean) Weaver of Bellefonte; and twenty-six nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Marian was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph P. Hoover; and two sisters, Margaret “Peg” Butler and Theodora “Teddy” Hoover.
Friends will be received Monday, June 6, 2011, from 9:30 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 10:30 AM, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Interment will follow in Pine Hall Cemetery.
