Marvin R. “Bud” Bryan Sr., 72, of Bellefonte, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at his residence.
Born on November 17, 1939 in Bellefonte, he is a son of the late Lee Edward and Miriam (Palmer) Bryan. He is survived by his step-mother, Catherine Bryan, who resides in Bellefonte.
Bud was employed and retired from Cerro Metals.
In his spare time, he enjoyed carpentry working, woodworking, gardening, hunting, camping, fishing, and photography. He also enjoyed participating in the yearly Black Moshannon Lumber Jack Days.
In addition to his step-mother, he is survived by his companion, Janice Roberts of Bellefonte; daughters, Amy S. Bryan (Jason Davenport) of Mahaffey, and Faith Ann Hinklin (Jeffrey) of Tomball, TX; sons, Marvin R. “Buddy” Bryan Jr. (Lacey) of Fleming, and Marvin Roy Merillat (Michelle) of Fort Eustis, VA; sisters, Bonnie Wolfe of Bellefonte, and Patricia DeBrasky (Joe) of Bellefonte; brothers, William Bryan (Gloria) of Milesburg, Thomas Bryan (Donna) of Unionville Pike, John Bryan (Donna) of Millheim, and Rodney Bryan (Karen) of State College; step-sisters, Diane Matis (Joe) of Bellefonte, and Tracy Watkins (Skip Holderman) of Pleasant Gap; step-brothers, William Watkins (Shirley) of Woodward, and Gilbert Watkins of Milesburg; and eight grandchildren, Makayla Jean, Gannon Lee, Wesson Colt, Aeriel Faye, Eli Michael, Lila Hope, Zachary Claude, and Hannah Marie.
Family will receive friends from 11 am until the time of the funeral services on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Funeral Services will take place at 1 PM, from the funeral home, on Wednesday. Interment will take place at a later date at Centre County Memorial Park.
