Nina Miriam Bailey, 87, of Bellefonte, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at the Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte.
Born June 1, 1928, in Milton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Madeline and Roy Baylet. On August 30, 1947, in Roaring Springs, PA she married Paul J. Bailey who preceded her in death on November 21, 1967.
Nina enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her sister Gladys. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading anything regarding the history of the south. She was a great cook and treated others to many of her delicious meals. She also enjoyed day trips, playing cards, watching old movies, horse racing, bingo, and the Grange Fair.
Nina is survived by one son, David Bailey and one daughter, Paula J. Farwell, both of Bellefonte. Two grandchildren Jessica Bailey of Pittsburgh, and Seth Bailey of Tampa, FL; one sister Gladys Fetzer of Bellefonte. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, June Gutshall, one grandson, Curtis A. Farwell, and long time companion Paul Bodenshock.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 1:00 PM at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801, with The Reverend Alex Dynkiw officiating.
