Norman A. Hahn, 79, of Moshannon, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center. Born on July 31, 1934, in Pine Glen, he was the son of the late Noah and Mary Cox Hahn. On September 18, 1982, in Moshannon, he married Barbara A. Gilpin who survives at home.
Norman attended the Snow Shoe High School. He was employed at a heavy equipment operator for R.S. Carlin Coal Co. for 45yrs. He then worked part time for the Mountaintop Area Municipal Authority.
Norman attended the Moshannon United Methodist Church and the Mt. Top Christian Alliance Church. He was a member of Snow Shoe Lions Club. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Norman is survived by his wife, his children; Randy L. Hahn and his wife, Tammy, of Bellefonte, Rick A. Hahn and his wife, Tammy, of Moshannon, Lenny E. Hahn and his wife, Jean, of Bellefonte, Shirley L. Jones and her companion, Bob Collar, of Moshannon, Trudy J. Bumbarger and her husband, Tim, of Morrisdale, John L. Eaton III and his wife, Mary, of Moorsetown, NJ, and Debby H. Hannum and her husband, Doug, of Millersville, MD.
Also surviving are his 14 grandchildren; Katie Powell, Emily Hannum, Ashley Campbell, Matthew Eaton, Ashton Romain, Shaina Hahn, Madison Hahn, Stacy Rockey, Brittany Hahn, Leni Hahn, Kenny Inhoof, Todd Irvin, Jr., Tyler Irvin, and Trevor Irvin, several great grandchildren, and two sisters; Marjorie Skripek of Clearfield and Emma Dixson of Moshannon.
Along with his parents, Norman was preceded in death by three brothers, a grandson, Lester M. Walk III in 2008 and a great grandson, Brennon R.A. Irvin in 2013.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 form 2-4 and 6-8pm with a Lions Memorial Service at 7:45pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe. Funeral service will be on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Douglas Mottin officiating. Interment will be at Askey Cemetery, Snow Shoe Twp.
