P. Marie Clink, 88, formerly of Snow Shoe, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 in the Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center in Fishersville, VA. Born on March 28, 1922, in Snow Shoe, Marie was a daughter of the late James E. and Hazel Marie (Casher) Viehdorfer. She was the widow of Robert L. Clink. Marie was a life long residence of Snow Shoe, moving to Virginia six years ago, to be closer to her daughter.
Marie was retired from Pennsylvania State University Department of Housing. She was a life-member of the Snow Shoe United Methodist Church, a member of the Snow Shoe Woman’s Club and Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy A. Marks and her husband Frank J. Jr. of Williamsville, VA; a granddaughter, Bonnie Jean Gross and her husband Brian of Fleetwood, PA; three great-grandchildren, Madison Mahlendorf and Sarah and Nathan Gross; a niece, Sandy Shook of Spring Mills, PA.; and a nephew, Mike Hoy of Bellefonte, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by a sister, Velda M. Hoy. Marie was the last survivor of her immediate family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 2pm, at Baldwin Park with Rev. Christopher Knoedler officiating.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 1-2pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St., Snow Shoe. A memorial service will held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 2pm at the funeral home with Pastor Cathy Dittman officiating. Burial will follow at Askey Cemetery, Snow Shoe Twp.
